Some tips to keep your skin glowing in winters
As we all know that in winters our skin becomes dry and rough and due to cold we usually don't put more efforts to make it fresh and glowing Winters are a bit more harsh for the skin than summers. Even sitting in front of fire for heat may damage your skin. But no need to be worried because by following some basic tips you can actually get a glowing skin even though in winters.
- Drink water: We are all very well aware about the importance of water. To stay hydrated one should consume water in greater quantities ranging from 10-14 glasses a day. It depends how much you can consume per day but consuming in greater quantities will make you hydrated and as results your skin will be more glowing.
- Change your showering habits: Every one used to take shower with hot water in winters. But wait, do you really think it will help you in winters? So the answer is no. Because going to a hot environment sudden after a cold environment is really not good for skin. Every one need to avoid this thing in winters and instead use lukewarm water rather than hot water.
- Use humidifier in your bedroom: Winter weather is dry weather. Dryness irritates many parts of your body including your skin. Humidifier will add moisture to the air to prevent dryness and will add to the beauty of your skin.
- Avoid alcohol containing products: While purchasing your skin care products in winters just make sure they are alcohol free. Because alcoholic products including cleansers, toners, etc tend to be too harsh for skin use in winters. Wait for theses products to be used in summers.
- Use moisturiser: Moisturisers are best for reducing dryness. don't forget to put on moisturiser after every wash. Add a night cream in your routine and some lotion in day time. But make sure you are using a right one for you skin.
- Focus on your lips: Sure, it’s easy to grab a cherry-flavoured lip balm, in the checkout line. Don’t do it. It is actually dehydrating the lips and doing more harm . Choose a product that actually hydrates and adds moisture to your lips.
