What wedding ceremony actually means? And how we are defining it?

Wedding ceremony

"A wedding ceremony actually means a formal union with a legal and social contract between two individuals who are willing to unite their lives legally, economically and emotionally."

Buy looking at current circumstances, we come up with a complete new definition of wedding ceremony around the world.

Wedding ceremonies now a days take couple of days to be completed with absolutely unwanted lavish events starting from pre-wedding parties, bachelor's party, bridal showers, music nights, and end up with grand events of reception.

In such ceremonies usually a handsome amount of dowry is given to the groom, a large crowd of guests is served with numerous food items and expensive presents are given to the groom's family.

This wedding ceremony style has now taken  the place of a tradition all around the world, which is ultimately influencing the lower and middle classes. Being influenced by these traditions, they also try to do every possible thing even when they are unable to afford just to protect their daughters from in-laws taunts.

Such kind of wedding ceremonies contribute to the waste of resources in a time where we are already facing unlimited problems including poverty. Poor ones do take loans and spend their whole savings to embrace this societal tradition, and later on they come across with interest rates burden.

Sometimes governments take action to make a stop against such festivities but public is now habitual of such traditions. They do not care about law and order and start doing these things in their private places. Now everyone considers that a wedding ceremony could not be completed without these unnecessary events.

A Simple or lavish wedding ceremony is completely an individual's personal choice but a wedding doesn't need to be expensive to be memorable. If someone have enough money to bear such expenses, then ofcourse they can but we need to think here because we are setting a life standard which everyone can't afford. We need to understand that every little thing puts a great influence on society.

We should try to make things simple for others. A wedding can be amazing even when it isn't celebrated in a grand manner. We should promote decent elegant weddings with less expense.

No doubt weddings with less expense are the blessed ones.
